| Silver Sapphire and Diamond Star Pendant |
 This custom made star is set with one diamond and four natural sapphires. The two interlocking hearts are made of 10 kt yellow gold. It can be made with any combination of gemstones you wish.
Every piece of jewellery I design has its origin from the different ways life plays its self out. This design is no exception.
My wife and I dropped by a friend's house on the way home the other day to catch a TV program my wife just has to see. We went up to K's bedroom where she had the best TV. Upon entering I made a comment about the ceiling that was covered in glow-in-the-dark stars.Yes, you read this right. She told me that she likes to sleep under the stars. Having spent many a night looking up at the stars and thinking about life I was inspired to make this pendant. She loves to look up at these stars and dream about different things and as we all know dreams are the foundation for one's direction and goal in life. We watched our program and had a nice visit. Coffee was not too bad, 6 out of 10 stars.
Well, wouldn't you know it, the next week J came home with a package of glow in the dark stars a gift from K. Thank you K for the inspiration of this pendant.
The star represents the heavens, with many twinkling stars (diamond, sapphires). The two gold hearts united in this pendant represent the love I have for my wife as this was a gift made by me to my love, my wife.
We look up to the heavens for answers to many of life's questions but sometimes the answer is as close as a dear friend or loved one.

The outline of this star was made by tracing the outside of these plastic glow-in-the-dark stars that where given to me as a gift. Interesting to see how almost any shape and object, with a little thought, can be turned into a beautiful piece of jewellery art.

The back of this pendant is finished with a bright polish and displays the "R" signifying that I personally designed the item, a circle C for copyright, 10kt, sterling and the CG trademark..
