Wobito Cut Natural Ametrine When Maggie came into our shop with her old rings I had no idea what we were about to embark upon. I showed her a beautiful loose 24.1 ct natural ametrine cut by Rudi Wobito and she had to have it. (Just a note Maggie is a Professor of Art History at a University) I looked at the rings that she brought in and let my imagination take over. First the oval diamond was bezel set into the collar which was then sent along with the ametrine back to Rudi. Rudi then custom cut the ametrine to fit the bezel of the diamond. Next wax was carved to custom fit the stone and diamonds. After casting the triangular diamonds they were bezel set and placed to hold the center stone. This ring was at least 3 months in the making. A definate work of art is the description this piece. It is a custom designed ring made for someone who loves art. Thank you Maggie it was a pleasure to make this most interesting ring.
