Gems has been in business for a quarter century serving the Durham Region.  We have on staff a gemologist designer, holding degrees from both the Gemmological Institute of America (GG) and The Gemmological Association and Gem Testing Laboratory of Great Britain. Our gemologist has lectured in the USA at the National Assocaiation of Jewellery Appraisers conference, he has also recently published a book on rock and mineral collecting in the Bancroft area, - the rock and mineral capital of Canada.
Gems offers one of the largest selections of one-of-a-kind custom cut gemstones by Master gemstone cutters, Rudi and Ralph Wobito. The Wobito's have been on TV's Discovery Channel; the cover of Lapidary Journal; won many different awards and prizes internationally for faceting; and are considered among Canada's best.
