| Orange Heart Shaped Garnet |

This is one of the most beautiful heart shaped orange garnets that I have seen in a long while. My customer purchased this stone over the internet and gave me a call commissioning a setting to be made for it. As she was describing it to me over the phone, in a flash an interesting idea came to mind., comets.
Kelly came into our shop and we went though a few rough drawings and finally settled on the one you see here to the right. The drawings always give me a point to start breathing life into the concept.
In the next step the drawing was put into a jewellery CAD system to produce the perfect wax model for casting. When the casting was finished each stone was set by hand and not cast into place like some mass produced items. Each ring is custom made to exactly fit the center stone.
